Q. How do I estimate the amount of space I need?

A. Unfortunately no two people have the same amount of goods to store, making it difficult. However, our web site has a storage calculator so as you can work out exactly what you need. Q. Can I drive up to my storage unit?

A. Yes and no. All units are easiy access able however we do have a large number of drive up units allowing you to unload quickly and easily. Smaller units can still be accessed very easily, with a maximum distance to the unit being 20 metres. Keep in mind the bigger the unit the closer it is. Trolleys are provided to make your move even easier.

 

Q. Do I need insurance?

A. As a service to you, Safeco Storage can provide you with a storage insurance policy, catering especially for the storage industry. However it is not essential, it is personal choice. Also, check with your own insurance company, as they may cover your storage cubicle in your contents cover.

 

Q. Can I change to a different size storage unit?

A. Yes, If your needs change, you can adjust the unit size. Bigger or smaller, your needs will be met.

 

Q. What is the minimum time I can rent a storage unit for?

A. One month is the minimum storage period.

 

Q. Can I store for longer than I thought I needed to?

A. Yes, if you need to continue your storage it is not a problem. Your storage agreement will continue to extend until you give 7 days notice that you no longer need the storage unit.

 

Q. When do I have to pay?

A. Your storage payment must always stay in advance. You can pay weekly, fortnightly, monthly, yearly, in fact you can pay as much as you wish, as long as the payment stays in advance. You can pay by cash, credit card, cheque, money order or direct debit.

 

Q. Do I need a lock?

A. Yes, you provide your own lock. You lock it, you keep the key. We also sell locks so if you don’t have one, you can get one from the facility.

 

Q. Should I be worried about rodents?

A. No. Safeco Storage is pest controlled every 3 months by ECO pest.

 

Q. Do you sell packing supplies?

A. Yes. All boxes, tape bubble wrap and paper is available for our facilities.
